LOS ÁNGELES (EFE).— Los postulados para los premios que entrega la Academia de cine de Hollywood, que celebrará la 90a. edición del Óscar el 4 de marzo próximo, son las siguientes:
Compiten por la máxima presea de la gala, es decir, a Mejor Película: “Call Me by Your Name” (Sony Pictures Classics), “Darkest Hour” (Focus Features), “Dunkirk” (Warner Bros.), “Get Out”(Universal), “Lady Bird” (A24), “Phantom Thread” (Focus Features), “The Post” (20th Century Fox), “The Shape of Water” (Fox Searchlight) y “Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri”(Fox Searchlight).
En la categoría de Mejor Director figuran los nombres de Christopher Nolan (por “Dunkirk”), Jordan Peele (“Get Out”), Greta Gerwig (“Lady Bird”), Paul Thomas Anderson (“Phantom Thread”) y Guillermo del Toro (“The Shape of Water”).
Por el título de Mejor Actor se medirán Timothée Chalamet (“Call Me by Your Name”), Daniel Day-Lewis (“Phantom Thread”); en la que sería su última interpretación, Daniel Kaluuya (“Get Out”), Gary Oldman (“Darkest Hour”) y Denzel Washington (“Roman J. Israel, Esq.”).
En el rubro de Mejor Actriz fueron postuladas Sally Hawkins (“The Shape of Water”), Frances McDormand (“Three Billboards…”), Margot Robbie (“I, Tonya”), Saoirse Ronan (“Lady Bird”) y Meryl Streep (“The Post”).
Por Mejor Película de Animación compiten “The Boss Baby” (20th Century Fox), “The Breadwinner”(GKIDS), “Coco” (Walt Disney), “Ferdinand” (20th Century Fox) y “Loving Vincent” (Good Deed Entertainment).
Como cada año, la ceremonia será armonizada por los postulados a Mejor Canción Original, que en esta ocasión contemplan a “Mighty River” (“Mudbound”), “Mystery Of Love” (“Call Me by Your Name”), “Remember Me” (“Coco”), “Stand Up For Something” (“Marshall”) y “This Is Me” (“The Greatest Showman”).
Esta edición de los Óscar podría pasar a la Historia en Latinoamérica, si la chilena “A Fantastic Woman” logra coronarse como Mejor Película de Habla no Inglesa, sobre “The Insult” (Líbano), “Loveless” (Rusia), “On Body and Soul” (Hungría) y “The Square” (Suecia).
